Smart Student Travel has a long history of engaging students and teachers in amazing travel experiences beyond the classroom. Our smooth year-round operations are designed to support educators who choose to take learning out into the real world and show their students how much more they can learn when they step out of the textbook.
From our preparation process, with individualized itineraries created just for each group’s needs, to our attentive customer service throughout the course of each tour, Smart Student Travel strives to provide excellent travel experiences.

Get started in A few simple steps
Request a Quote
Request a quote and get a baseline cost for your trip
Select A Group Leader
Determine who will be your group leader. This person will communicate with us regularly and pass on information to committees, students, parents, etc.
Get Necessary Permissions
A field trip planning form is also usually required and must be submitted to your principal and local board of education. Therefore, we strongly recommend you create a proposal or lesson plan connecting your trip with your district’s curriculum.**
Select travel dates
While you can choose your own travel dates, we recommend including weekend days in your dates, Spring Break days, or other days that minimally interfere with school days.
Group Plan
Hold a meeting and distribute promotional materials. Most group leaders hold a meeting with both students and parents either during or after school. If you need help with your meeting, we can provide you with engaging powerpoints and/or videos.
Register Students
We’ll provide registration forms, flyers, and an access code to use our online registration portal.
** If you are new to planning field trips, simply ask your principal for formal procedures. If you need help, we can create lesson plans for you!
