Other important Information

  1. Start by getting oriented. New York is huge, and it can be easy to feel lost if you don’t know where you’re going. Spend time getting to know the city’s layout before exploring.
  2. Dress comfortably. New Yorkers dress casually, so there’s no need to pack your fanciest clothes when you visit. Comfortable shoes are also a must – you’ll be doing a lot of walking!
  3. Be patient. New Yorkers can be notoriously impatient, but that doesn’t mean you should be rude or rushed when you’re on vacation. Take your time and enjoy yourself!
  4. Take advantage of free attractions. New York can be expensive, but there are plenty of free things to do. From strolling through Central Park to people-watching in Times Square, there’s no shortage of free entertainment in NYC.
  5. Mind your manners. New Yorkers are generally polite, but we can also be direct. Please and thank you go a long way in this city!
  6. We can customize tours to fit your learning needs or themes such as STEM, Civil Rights, Leadership, Finance, Music & Band, College Bound, or simply by subject areas to fit your curriculum.
  7. Optional Excursion Trips: Philadelphia, Boston

Sample Itinerary

DAY 1

  • Fly or drive by motorcoach
  • Check into hotel
  • Meet with your expert tour director
  • Lunch
  • Take a walking tour of Midtown
    • Midtown is home to some of the city’s most prominent buildings, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project, the headquarters of the United Nations, the Grand Central Terminal, and Rockefeller Center, as well as tourist destinations such as Broadway, and Times Square.
  • – Fifth Avenue Rockefeller Center
    • The Big Apple’s most famous street is Fifth Avenue, also known as Millionaire’s Row. It crosses the whole of Manhattan from north to south. It is New York’s most expensive and best shopping street with the world’s most expensive retail spaces. We can compare this avenue to the Champs-Élysées in Paris or Ginza in Tokyo.
  • – St. Patrick’s Cathedral
    • It’s renowned for its titanic bronze doors, gorgeous high altar, and rich Neo-Gothic architecture, including thousands of stained glass windows. From a historical perspective, it’s the final resting place of some of New York’s most legendary humanitarians and clergymen.
  • – Bryant Park
    • Bryant Park is the largest expanse of grass below 59th Street, making it prime real estate for picnics in the summer and, come winter, ice-skating.
